Hi friends

Today has been one of the hardest days of my life. My family has many things to think about, so if you pray please say a prayer for us.  Right now I am so incredibility lost, confused and scared.  I hope to soon have answers and know the right direction our family needs to go. I wanted to document this day on my blog, so when I look back in a few years I will see how far we have come.

Sweet baby!

Hi Friends!

I have another layout to share with you today. It's another baby layout that I just finished yesterday. I love creating baby layouts, I think they may be my favorite theme to create!  I am so blessed that I get to stay home and do what I love the most, making pretty things:)

Boy did I fuss over this layout for over two weeks.  I always layout everything first, starting with the paper, then flowers, etc.  I could not get this layout to work, no matter what I did. So I walked away for a while, came back and still nothing! Well then I just took the whole thing off my desk and put it away. Then Tuesday morning I went back to my scrapbook room and tried again. This time everything seem to work! I don't know why that happens with some layouts, drives me crazy!

I thought this layout would be cute for baby boy or girl.  I did some stamping and used my Martha Stewart punch to create the borders.  I also used some stickles on the stamped dots to give it a touch of sparkle! I love sparkles!!

Flu and pretty paper

Hi Friends!

Well the Flu bug is everywhere here in Florida and it paid a visit to our home.  My son Ethan got it and missed a whole week of school. Boy was it nasty!  He started to recover from it and then was hit with a nasty cough, so off to the doctor we go. Everything was good except he needed to have breathing treatments here at home.  He does not like to have breathing treatments, not at all:( After me begging and throwing myself on the floor (ok maybe that didn't happen:)  he finally agreed to get them.

Thankfully no one else in the house got sick. So now that things are back to normal I got to play in my scrapbook room...insert jumping smiley face here.  I started and finished three layouts!  I always love the feeling of seeing layouts finished. Such a rush!

So here are two of the three layouts that I finished. On this first layout I found some journal tags that I forgot about and they match perfect! I tucked them under the photo mat. These are going here in my Etsy store.https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheWhimsicalFlower

My Mind's Eye love

Good morning!

Today I have a layout to share using some wonderful My Mind's eye papers.  Last year I bought a My Mind's Eye calendar set to put together and give as a gift.  I tucked it away and forgot about all about it!  So a few weeks ago I found it and since 2013 is over I thought it would be cute to create layouts out of the calendar pages. This kit is so neat, it gives you all the goodies to make it the calendar..ribbon, buttons and really cute embellishments.  Oh and I just happened to have a My Mind's Eye paper pad that has 180 sheets and they all match the calendar perfect!

This is a layout that I finished yesterday. I wanted to create a nice sunny and fun layout for Spring.  I LOVE using old book pages on my layouts. They work so well with almost anything. I also love distressing my layouts! Of course I love lots of flowers:)  This little cutie is going in my Etsy store.

New Year Resolutions

Hi Friends!

Do you have any New Year Resolutions this year?  I don't usually buy into the whole New Year  Resolutions thing, but this year I thought I would give it a try. So here are mine... Read 80 books (read 70 last year), turn anything negative that I feel or happens to me into a positive, (example..I don't feel good today..positive would be I might feel bad but I am alive, healthy and able to do what I want!) work harder in my Etsy store, cut my family's spending way down. I think these are goals are something that I can achieve. The not spending will be a bit hard for me, but I am going to really try!

Peaceful...

Hi friends!

I have been having a bit of stress lately, plus not feeling to good so when I found this picture it brought me peace. I so need to sit and be still in a place like that. I have not been creating in my scrapbook room and I don't like how that makes me feel. It just seems as if everything is coming at me at once. I hope this passes soon and I can get back to normal. In the meantime, I will picture myself here walking along this beautiful path in the forest!

The Christmas layouts keep coming!

Hi friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful and stress free Thanksgiving.  Our turkey day was great, we had all the family over minus a brother/brother-in-law. We did things a little different this year. We had a pot luck Thanksgiving and it was wonderful! Stress free!
I have SO many things to be thankful for, my husband, son, daughter, grandchildren, mom the list goes on and on,  I am one lucky woman!

I have not been able to get back to crafting yet, but I do have a layout to share with you.  I completed this last week.

First I have to say that this is my favorite Christmas layout that I have done so far.  I love Santa giving the child a present embellishment. I cut that out using my Cricut.
Everything came together so easy with this layout, I didn't have to fuss over it. I like when that happens!
